Fundraising at JCU

Why does JCU fundraise?

As government funding accounts for an increasingly lower percentage of overall budgets, universities are counting more and more on the flexibility provided by philanthropy.

Whether a donation from a major trust, a bequest, a personal donation from an individual member of the community, or a commercial sponsorship agreement, the University can put all your support to very good use.

Where a corpus fund is created no management fees of any sort are deducted from the corpus fund or the interest earned.

Fundraising at JCU is core funded by the University and none of its costs are deducted from funds raised, except in the case of occasional broad, comprehensive, multi-project capital campaigns requiring new staff appointments for their execution.
